Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs to The One Direction band. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles, a former pupil of Holmes Chapel Comprehensive Schools Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School formed a group called White Eskimo with three fellow students. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009, thanks to their outstanding results. Even though he had always been interested in the world of music however, despite his love for it, he wished to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. To support his family, he spent a short time working part-time in a bakery. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this is that his band was split. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group. The group was formed in the year the year 2010. They performed tracks such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. The group was one of the potential winners for the award. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with Syco. Syco Record label.
