Lucy Liu, an American voice actor, producer and singer is also an accomplished actor. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actress she serves as an example to numerous Asian actors who aspire to be successful in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances in some popular series she achieved fame when she joined the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden fame into major screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. She also played leading roles in box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films, such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's part on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to yield positive results. Southland, the critically-acclaimed drama police show that Liu played in on a regular basis, was a role which has helped her regain her status as a an internationally acclaimed actor. Liu chooses her roles carefully to avoid being a stereotype in an industry which is extremely competitive.
